Psychoeducational Assessment
A psychoeducational assessment is a comprehensive and systematic investigation of a child’s cognitive processing abilities, current level of academic functioning, language, social-emotional skills, and behavioral functioning. Cognitive Processing measures include visual processing, auditory processing, phonological processing, memory and learning, attention/concentration, and executive functioning.
If your child is struggling in school, a psychoeducational assessment can help you understand their learning profile and how best to support them.
Assessment can investigate areas such as:
- Learning Disability including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia
- Attention Deficit Disorder and impact on school performance
- Anxiety/Depression and impact on school performance
- Autism
- Intellectual Disability
Rates are determined at the time of the consultation and based on the nature of the evaluation. Fees range from $2500 to $5000.
Independent Education Evaluation
An Independent Educational Evaluation, also known as an IEE, is an evaluation conducted by a neutral, third-party professional not affiliated with the school district that serves your child. Parents and guardians can request an IEE for their child if they disagree with the results of the evaluation conducted by the school district.

Admissions Assessment
This type of assessment is meant to provide families with their child’s Intelligence Quotient (IQ) score. This assessment is most often used for entrance into private schools requiring IQ testing as part of their admissions process.
Rate: $750-$1000.
College Assessment
When applying for accommodations upon entering college, a current psychoeducational evaluation (typically within 3 years) is required by the college’s center for accessible education.
Rates are determined at the time of the consultation and based on the nature of the evaluation. Fees range from $1200 to $3500.
Functional Behavioral Assessment
A functional behavior assessment or FBA is conducted when a child is displaying challenging behavior. An FBA helps to identify the function of the behavior and appropriate replacement behavior. A replacement behavior is the behavior you want the child to exhibit in place of the behavior you are trying to eliminate.
Rate: $2,500.
Counseling
Executive Functioning
Executive functioning training can improve success in school by targeting areas of deficit and building competency.
This is for students who struggle with:
- Self-advocacy
- Emotional regulation
- Sustained attention
- Setting attainable goals
- Initiating tasks
- Turning in work
- Self-monitoring
- Time-management
- Staying organized
- Being an active reader
- Note taking
- Recalling information
- Taking tests
Executive functioning training can take place in the office or via teletherapy which is often preferred by families.
Rate: $175 per hour.
Social Skills
Social skills training can support children in developing age-appropriate social skills and competencies, including communication, problem solving, decision making, self-management, and peer relations.
This is for children:
- Who struggle to initiate play with peers.
- Who are having conflict with peers.
- Who struggle to pick up on social cues, like body language, tone of voice, or facial expressions.
- Who are active, impulsive, and often too physical in their play.
Training initially occurs one to one in your home or my office and then is generalized to real life situations such as the park, playdate, birthday party, etc.
Rate: $175 per hour.
Consultation
Education
Educational consultation can be provided on a one-time basis or ongoing depending on your needs.
This is for parents:
- Who have general questions about their child’s education and want to make sure they are on the right track.
- Who think their child may have a disability but are unsure how to proceed in the school setting.
- Who would like to know more about the 504 and special education process.
- Whose child was recently assessed for special education by their school district and needs support in interpreting the assessment results.
- Who would like input regarding their child’s school based special education assessment and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) prior to signing.
Education consultation can take place in the office or via teletherapy..
Rate: $175 per hour.
Behavior
Behavior consultation can provide parents with guidance and support in navigating the many challenges that come along with raising children. Consultation can be provided on a one-time basis or ongoing depending on your needs.
This is for families struggling with:
- Bedtime routines or sleep
- Defiance (e.g. refusing to follow your requests)
- Difficulty separating from parent
- Tantrums
- Difficulty sharing
- Refusal to do homework
- Fighting with siblings
- Excessive screen time
Behavior consultation can take place in the office or via teletherapy.
Rate: $175 per hour.
